I have found, during my long life, that the people who get in the most trouble are usually those who screen out conflicting or ambiguous information and focus purely on things that reinforce their narrow view of the world. Like those people who walk against red pedestrian lights scanning their messages and listening to music on their iPhones. Sooner or later they get creamed.
