Happy to explain. Most shares move up and down each day by more than the six monthly dividend. Most people pay little attention to Dividends and a lot of attention to Capital growth or decline.
Then there is a much smaller group who obsess about dividends. 2 cents, 3 cents, 3.1 cents , 4 cents? To me they seem to be missing the bigger picture. But maybe that's just me.
And if you truly don't know what the General Secretary of the Chinese Communist Party has decreed recently that has caused the price of most iron ore miners to head South, then Bank stocks might be more appropriate for you.
