1) The pipeline will only hold up to 3 mil tonnes per annum.
2) They have a licence to produce up to 3 mil tones per annum.
Currently production is at 2.5 mil tonnes but I think there needs to be some technical work to allow the pipeline to reach capacity.
Current efforts to use UG mining and increase the open pit mining will probably achieve this AND extend the mine life as far as 2050 (2035 now).
One draw back from your suggestion would be a reduction in mine life so maybe your idea has some pros and conn.
