The current gross dividend yields are WBC 3.45%, TLS 2.51% and GRR 4.69% so we win on that front as well and thats before the interim dividend. Its not only not worth having your money in the bank but owning shares in one is not that great either...
However like all stocks its the price you buy at that makes the difference and that often has lot more to do with luck , timing and patience..
Although many thought the last dividend was stingy , the fact is it still produces a very good unfranked yield even after a large shareprice gain and enabled the warchest to grow. I'll take stingy but maintainable any time...
