My mother bought 9000 ESMCA at 30 cents during the Poseidon boom, and I remember begging her to sell them at $8.50. This would have been around 1970. She ignored me, and still has them to this day. In 1970 you could have bought the equivalent of $2 million dollars (today's value) worth of real estate for that $75K she failed to realise.
Put another way, they would have to go to $220 per share today for her to be where she was in 1970.
Words still fail me.
