The above article published today on a report just released by The Intergovernmental Panel on Climate Change highlights the need for our Geothermal project to be developed without delay. Here is an excerpt;
"The UN secretary general, António Guterres, said: “This report is a clarion call to massively fast-track climate efforts by every country and every sector and on every timeframe. Our world needs climate action on all fronts: everything, everywhere, all at once.”
Development of 24/7 green energy available in abundance indeed almost unlimited amounts from GRV's geothermal leases must be, as Guterres says, fast tracked!
GRV's Geothermal project began as carbon offset mechanism for our Alpha bitumen project, but it's much more than that. It has the potential to grow a massive 24/7 green electricity business, supplying the Eastern States power grid with green electricity, supplying green hydrogen plants with electricity for their hydrogen producing electrolyzers, and, green electricity for smelting both Aluminium and Iron Ore. It can all be done and must be done !
Yes, this project will need a lot of money and effort together with political will! It has similar characteristics to a Snowy 2.0, an NBN or other project of national significance. Surely it's time for Federal and State Gov'ts to step up. And, there are a number of ASX companies with market caps large enough to get involved!
Let's begin the "fast tracking" process with the Qld Gov't expediting the permitting for our leases. Also the native title permitting!
