Number one priority imo is "the wet process" for extracting bitumen from torbanite as reported in the recent quarterly. This process " greatly reduces or eliminates carbon emissions" relative to the original retorting process. Parr Reactor testing is scheduled to commence in May and run for 6 weeks.
I would assume that if the wet process is viable neither the Hybrid Solar/Gas power plant nor a Geothermal power plant will be required for the purpose of carbon offsets. ( A DFS with low Capex and high profitability will be released and the share price will quickly bag several times)
Meanwhile as the geothermal permits are progressively granted, the sites will be drilled and evaluated for suitability. One or more of the sites may be Lithium rich.
The Geothermal power plant project can then proceed either to provide the carbon offset for a "retorting process" at Alpha, if we end up going that way, or as a new stand alone business opportunity.
It is clear to me from following the climate change debate that "base load" or "24 hour" power is urgently required if coal is to be phased out and geothermal certainly ticks this box.
