Bitumen at 4356 CNY looks like an all time high! At .21 to the AUD = 915/T. +Sea freight?
A 50% or so margin would be a great outcome for shareholders however 50% is only a guess.
I did some research on bitumen alternatives and the only product on the horizon is "lignin" which is plant based and is in the early stages of development. They have surfaced a bike path in Europe with it but it's light years away from being widely used as a bitumen substitute.
Demand for bitumen should remain strong; in Australia buoyed by Govt infrastructure programs plus flood repair in the eastern states. USA also has a massive program for new roads and bridges across the country. Then there is Ukraine!
The GRV bitumen project is "import replacement" and it should be attractive to both State and Federal governments plus the asphalt industry.
Patience needed while GRV  sorts out the production process and attends to permits etc but when they eventually get there it will be very rewarding!
