the alpha project is essentially shale oil. I held grv since 2011 and I've always known it as a shale oil project - it's only since Neil took over that the vernacular has changed. and rightly so because torbanite is different and has different uses (activated carbon etc). cannel coal, which makes up around 60% of the deposit iirc, is pretty much dirty old shale oil. hence why the Gladstone retort experience is of relevance.
but Neil is acutely aware of the Gladstone experience and is intent on avoiding those same problems.
and I agree with your other post - I think the 40c wall is a good thing. personally I'd rather see a bit of a cap put on the sp, and let the pressure build until we get news of substance and then watch it really fly.
