The enormous power of the US govt. obviously can still shape and direct financial markets without challenge. For all the talk from the BRIC nations gold for one will not find it's true value until the US powers are ready (probably no time soon if ever)unless the BRIC nations coordinate buying the paper futures and take delivery whenever GS and the like try and smack down gold (and silver).
