18th July, 2007GSK backfire
IT MIGHT go down as the worst information blackout in
history.
Full Disclosure has already reported that the two blacked-out pages of GlaxoSmithKline's defence against Biota — paragraph 162, on pages 121 and 122 — have caused much mirth in Melbourne's legal community.
Not just because the pages could be easily obtained from the Supreme Court.
Not just because, by blacking it out, GSK drew attention to the very paragraph it didn't want anyone to read.
But because, by pasting the pages in a Microsoft Word document, they can be read.
In case you were wondering, they refer to Biota's statement about an email exchange between Biota's chief executive, Hugh Niall, and GSK's CEO, Jean-Pierre Garnier
