I'd be a little cautious about media claims of an early payout offer. The case is still in the discovery phase, and BTA have yet to formally quantify their claim, so GSK would be crazy to be offering any deals at this stage. I suggest that the Fin article is based entirely on rumours 'created' by a few savvy BTA shareholders, and is not factually correct.

Maybe, in few months, once BTA have quantified their claim against GSK, and the mediation phase has begun, we can start paying more attention to such rumours.

Having said all this, it looks to me that BTA have good legal team, have prepared their case well, and may eventually receive a decent payout.
