    Perhaps the plant reduced capacity after the UK order but before swine flu?

    The maths on this one is quite revealing (assuming no loss of active ingredient in packaging process, 100mg per box):

    Expected demand for 2010 = 150m doses
    Production capacity = 240m p.a.

    Not sure what the loss rate is during packaging, but if the above figures are correct then we should be in for some excellent quarterlies during the next year.

    It will be interesting to see Biota expand pipeline products and still have the ability to return capital via dividend or buybacks, how many biotechs in the world can do that? Biota has finally reached the big time, solid revenues in a blockbuster market, exciting near and long term pipelines, no debt and still valued at less than $1bn. I think the presentations to US investors/potential investors will certainly prick up some ears.

    Another point to note is that the factory is working 24 hours a day 7 days a week. Full capacity.

    Talk about ethical investment, these guys are doing everything possible to help the world in this pandemic situation. Feels good to be an investor.
