I wonder if GSS covid test is screening or it is diagnostic. If it is screening test it is probably cheaper than RT-PCR test, which is diagnostic and less steps and work on high number of samples. Then the positive screening results go to RT-PCR to confirm. If it is the case the main point to use GSS test is the cost which are provided by government.
