    How would we know when the government doesn't have a clue how to do it, with administration costs that will be much higher than any tax they may collect.

    It is just a token for the retailers in Australia who have been ripping off their customers for years and will result in more firms like Amazon refusing to sell to Australia

    So the public will suffer for no reason other than a token gesture to people who don't deserve it.

    IMHO Retailers like Harvey Norman, Dick Smith and Bunnings have all been collecting huge mark ups by buying cheap Asian product and selling it here but when the public cut them out and take advantage of the cheap prices, suddenly these firms cry foul and want to take their bat and ball and sulk all the way home
