Once inside, they heard English being spoken and discovered Wood under a blanket with his hands bound.
Three people were detained during the operation that led to Wood's release, the military said. The soldiers discovered a weapons cache during the raid, which included four AK-47 rifles and a sniper rifle, and were met with light resistance from the terrorists during the rescue, the military said. Iraqi contractor Saed Rasul was freed at the same time, AFP said.
Gee chuck, some pretty sloppy planning on the part of the abductors, not only was there resistance at the "pickup" location, but they also left a weapons cache behind, ......along with themselves to get "caught".
