There are active buyers. Yahoo Finance shows 12.86m of stock traded across December. January so far is 10.6m shares bought by buyers.

The table below is from Yahoo finance (which has a minor glitch of repeating Jan24). There's been 3 days recently with 1m shares traded and another with 900k. There are lots of buyers out there, but they have been happy to sit at or just below the previously traded price and wait for sellers to hit their buy price. This has been working so why push the price up?

If someone with several million shares to offload was trying to do so, the 700k shares could represent the last of what they had to sell and they finally got their remaining balance to sell down to a size that they considered wouldn't spook the market. Its a good day's trading but perhaps they are saying if you want a meaningful chunk - here it is.

If the selling dries up, these buyers will need to decide, do they wait for more sellers to emerge or do they start to create a share price recovery.
