From the interview it sounds like he wants Tesla to actually become a miner and have full control of the critical metals supply. I wish him luck. As everyone knows in the Lithium space there is at least 6 years from discovery to production if all goes well. But then again Elon is a man who likes to succeed so you never know, he may buy an existing lithium mining company.
