Many experts have noted it takes 7 to 10 years to develop a lithium resource. For those new to GT1 and the Seymour resource, it was previously part of ADV (Ardiden Ltd). This 7 to 10 year timeline arguably started on 22 August 2016 when ADV announced that multiple new pegmatite structures were discovered at the Seymour Lake lithium project. All the ususal announcements then occurred like high rock chips (21 September 2016 - up to 4.54%) along with multiple drilling accountments.

An initial diamond drilling result was reported on 12 December 2016. Part of this 2016 announcement is repeated below as it notes three key features of the Seymour resource of North Aubry - excellent grades, good widths and that the ore resource starts near surface. Current deeper drill results are from following this ore body deeper underground. Many new lithium exploration companies will announce initial DD results over the next year or two. The precursor to GT1 was at this stage in 2016.

The first North Aubry JORC resource was reported on 4 October 2017 (1.23Mt @ 1.23%). This resource was upgraded to 4.8Mt @ 1.25% on 6 March 2019. Another upgrade is expected from GT1 during Q2 2022 which given drill results should be both a size and grade upgrade.

Following the initial JORC resource, ADV announced bulk sample test results on 15 November 2017. They were extremely strong. Flotation was even higher.

The lithium down-turn had ADV looking at its gold resources and ultimately spinning this prospect out into GT1 with a management team that would be able to progress it and realise its potential.
