And a little more on the wider plan.
Phase 1 - DMS concentrator at Seymour
Phase 2 - Adding a grinding and flotation circuit at Seymour to add extra volume for Hydroxide
Phase 2a (or3?) - Hydroxide at Thunder Bay
Within the 22 Dec 2022 update, there was a 72.6% recovery rate but 20.9% of the lithium units had a zero recovery rate as fines/middlings. There doesn't seem to be any inherent reason why these won't recover to at least 70% when put through a flotation circuit. If that were to be possible the recovery rate as a feed source for Hydroxide would increase by 14.6% to a market leading 87%. Even with probable real-world implementation reductions in this rate, the integrated study could well be coming out with something well into the 80%'s as a recovery rate which will assist getting to the volumes needed for a 25 to 30kt plant.
It would be nice if GT1 could give an update on their recovery rate estimates around fines and middlings as it would be a surprise if they haven't done that test work yet and have a much more accurate figure than my 70% guess above (and I'm actually hoping its nearer 80% flotation recovery).
