Weekly Review U Stocks - 5th Aug 2022

Here is the weekly review figures and charts that I do every week. It is useful only for those interested in trading or those who hold multiple shares and based on performance would like to keep re-balancing as we go. As I have disclosed earlier I do hold a number of U stocks. This is the reason I include a number of other U Stocks in my analysis.

Please note that all my analysis are from a trading perspective looking at short-term view.

This week there is no Diary due to volatility that is happening in the markets. So having a lot of changes in my portfolio. As this is specific to my situation, I thought I will hold on sharing that for now. Hopefully back soon, another week or two like last one.

There are no new additions this week. So the list contains 19 stocks.

This week there are 2 addition to the list -
.1) Tracking rise from June Bottom - average increase 38%
2) One video around charts, slightly bullish showing we may have seen the bottom (caution - there are still more people bearish)

Key data for next positive run:
There are 2 key data that I am looking at this week before I commit myself for the next run
First indicator I am looking at is SP 500 to break 4200 and stay above it. There is a good chance we will see the action around that this week. On Friday it closed on 4145 (gain of 15 points this week but not enough)
Second indicator I am looking at is volatility index to go below 20 and stay below that. On Friday it was 21.15. Again it decreased slightly over the week, but not enough.
Most financial groups and hedge funds are calling it a bear market rally
Many other analysts though have now a belief that we are on a reversal and June bottom will not be revisited
The bears are calling out that this rally is similar to March rally, when we recovered and then fell. Many are looking to see if same thing happens
Lot of positive signals, especially in moving averages. Many are doing well. Eg SP 500 30% of stocks above 200 day moving average, in June bottom it was around 10% - many call this very significant and believe a reversal trend is in progress
Key data of CPI/ PPI etc this week - Wednesday CPI figures, so effect of that on Thursday for us - this may provide short term direction

Something to keep in mind this week:
Stocks are in decent uptrend in last 4 weeks, after big falls from April
Last 4 weeks has been good - from -2%, +7%, +9% and now -1% - decent gains after long time.
U Future though after making lows of 46 and then second wave of 47, was inching towards previous high of $64.50. But now its retesting recent lows. Last week we finished at $49.50, this week we are back at $48.70 - loss of 80c for the week
The reason U Spot price is important because we don't have good demand/supply figures, so it acts as proxy. Supply/demand is the biggest factor that will drive the bull run and still we don't have good figures. Hence the volatility, the turbulence, big drops.
For the year now, average decline is standing at 12% now
The US markets on Friday was green for U stocks
Prediction - General market will provide direction. Monday may start in positive direction. The 2 key indicators around SP 500 reaching 4200 and VIX falling below 20 is key for me for my trading stocks

Continuation of uptrend of last 4 weeks with nearly flat this week
A new figures I have presented which shows that stocks have moved up average of 36% from their June bottom
Some of the indices have moved above 50/100/200 day moving average, very important for some
