governments should not be gauranteeing any deposits, banks are businesses not branches of the government.
at what point did banks become an unsinkable business? no business or government is gauranteed, when this current government changes why should the next mandated government be obliged to continue to gaurantee a business that is failing?
that all this seizing of depositors funds with government suport is occuring at a time when the last of the 'keep your money under the matress' generation has just passed into history is no accident.
