    I would say it has more to do with the fact it's a tourist destination and the population swells over this period. People to busy leading up to Christmas, more relaxed with more time to look around after Christmas. Fond memories of the hoilday they just had and good beach weather helping loosen up the wallets a bit, could explain some of the record prices that have been set on long weekends between Christmas and Easter over the years. And I don't recall claiming that a whole years growth was done in those months, maybe you should read my previous post again.
