I think you are confusing cash flow with profitability.
In case you don't know.
Cash flow is what happens in the bank account.
Profitability is what happens in the Profit and Loss statement after the cash flow is ,adjusted for work-in-progress and accruals, and is split between
* operations ( the inflows and outflows associated with what was wasted not producing anything or associated with what was sold during the period, P&L receipts and expenses)) and
* capital expenditure ( the inflows and out flows associated with buying and selling or creating assets or financing them with equity or debt. Balance Sheet receipts and expenses).
Cash flow and profit are rarely the same.
By way of example in Q4/23 HGO reported cash flow from operations for the 2023 year of ( $ 8,777,000)
A few weeks later it reported a net loss of ($ 16.3m )
