Alto are literally 360 degrees around MDI.
The leases in the area once belonged to Troy Resources.
Troy had a share price as high as $4.82 during the last gold bull run (post GFC), but stopped production around Sandstone when the gold price tanked.
MDI bought the mill and several leases. Alto bought other leases.
In my opinion MDI made the smart move. They also got access the Troy’s drilling database, which has given them a head start in figuring out where to drill to expand their resources. Of course, they also got the mill, which they plan to recommission once the feasibility study is finalised.
