Can not see nationalisation as being realistic here despite all the chest beating going on. AKM is based in the north and has set out to join the community behind the scenes and is coming up with a first class effort. They have recognised the problem and are doing what most talk about but never complete.
Hats off and investors should note the links the company has put together with central and the regional government

A collapse of hard coal prices is always possible but again the quality here and the size of the deposit will attract the majors. The long term pricing works on US$180/tonne and that appears a reasonable premise for this quality coal. There is an element of conservatism built in already. Why would not Aussie miners facing these price questions and being 8500km away have any better prospects from being based in Australia.
The financing of the project will come down to forward orders and contracts and here again there is Noble. That is one key ingredient to this company that seems to be neglected in discussions. What the market thinks is interesting but only reflects a minority of interests in this company that are not at the face. The company will get this up through the shareholder groupings committed to make it work.
The size of the directors holdings and the mongolian interests provide some strength. This company and where it sits reflects the malaise of the markets. Some issues have arisen that need dealing to but the overall position compared to 12 months ago is much further ahead and still more coal is being found. Go figure!
