I'm not trying to start an argument here for the sake of it but coking coal averaged about $50 a tonne before the boom??? i know iron ore was $15. there's a lot of potential downside if it was indeed $50. however I did read the BHP annual results report and coking coal prices actually went up 6% last year so it's anyones guess. people spend their whole careers crunching these numbers and still get it wrong so I am not going to make any predictions. And in the worst case scenario, if the project is nationalised to sum of 50%....is 10 cents now fair value given that hard coking coal is so rare? I dunno i'm no analyst.
