guessing by a novice, page-9

As I am currently shorting this stock,I would love to see it drop to $20 & fast, but judging by recent days where it has resisted bad international news stories etc, I doubt it will get anywhere near $20 in the near future.
At worst (best for me!) it may touch $26 imo & thats only if upcoming quarterly report on 21 Jan & interim results shortly after are bad, which they could easily be,but I would be very nervous holding a big short at that time.
As far as going long goes,I think its likely to just bounce around for months & months between $28 - $32.If it does,astute traders can make money out of that margin.

As always there will be some stocks that have huge percentage gains on rumours of takeover or big mineral finds,but it's a bear market & imo most stocks could flatline for ages.I dont think BHP is likely to have huge percentage gains short term & I wouldnt be rushing in tomorrow to buy any unless I have to cover my short which could be on the cards if some knowledgable chartists on this site are correct in their predictions.
