Perhaps it's not all a waste. I would suggest that Blackpeak (and others) informed the BOD that AMP is worth more than $ 1.85 a share. AMP wanted more from Ares and a bid before presenting their report today. Ares has walked, but apparently the door is still open to discuss AMP Capital opportunities. At least it wasn't a Life Sale fiasco where they sold the family silver for the price of stainless steel.
