I was in Dubai in March, and even though building was going gangbusters with even more development on the market to come, to me it was a case of the biggest bubble in history. Will enough Arabs keep returning there. Without exception every Westerner I spoke to wasn't in a rush to return. (But I would).
Only 6-7% of their GDP is oil, and that is running out.
Hoped to find some cheap gold jewellry, but left empty handed. Think I may have to go to India for that.
I love Dubai, but think it has overextended itself.
Interesting if the new km tall biulding comes to fruition
