Further to the company’s announcement of the pending drilling of the first well to be drilled in State Lease No. M-106410, Block 24-L S/2 SW/4, State of Texas Offshore waters, Entek Energy Limited (ASX code ETE) advises the well spudded at 04:00 hours on July 15th 2006.
The well is programmed to drill to a depth of 4,236 metres sub sea and is expected to take approximately 40 days to drill.
Entek is farming out its 20% interest in the Block to US based independents for a free carry in the well and in so doing is retaining a 5% Working Interest before Royalty burden.
Weekly announcements will be issued by the company during the drilling of the well.
