    Looking at what an authorised officer must consider for deciding whether a person is fit and proper.
    Seems social media would come under other information.
    Social media might indicate if someone wants a gun for nefarious means or to top themselves.
    Usual story of bureaucratic over reach. Punishing law abiding citizens for the behaviour of a few people.
    Covering themselves should something go wrong.
    Employers doing similar now to job applicants.

    ....whether there is anycriminal intelligence or other information to which the authorised officer hasaccess that indicates—
    (i) the person is a risk to public safety; or
    (ii)that authorising the person to possess a weapon would be contrary to thepublic interest; and
    (d) the public interest.
