AMG - NIU Investments
The profit of the company for the financial year after providing for
income tax amounted to $168,677.
This was inclusive of a fair value adjustment of $386,043 relating to the
revaluation of shares in listed Niuminco Group Limited (ASX.NIU)
and realised gain of $101,544.
During the year the company evaluated the NIU investment and conducted a technical review of the PNG
operations. Following this review during February 2017 Messrs Roberts and Arthur who were appointed as
directors on the Board of NIU resigned.
In June 2017, NIU announced its intent to spin-off of the tin and tungsten interests in Tasmania held in its 72%
owned subsidiary (TNT Mines Ltd) supported by Patersons stockbrokers.
AMG will continue to use its position of influence to press its concerns and agitate for change at NIU whilst
AMG continues to review its investments in NIU closely.
As at balance date the company held ~18% of the listed shares in NIU and
also held a convertible note of $200,000 plus interest owed.
