Heard Bob Geldof tell a reporter it is all about deals.

He said in effect that Irak owes Russia $8 billion and if Bush was to give Putin a cheque for $8 billion the US would have Russia's blessing to go after Irak.

He also had a very cynical view of the UN. (as Grant)

There is no morality only deals and anyone who thinks otherwise has no understanding of how the UN works, he said.
