Did you watch 'Foreign Correspondent'ABC Wed.The French have had a muslim 'problem' for many years as they are close to north Africa and have had colonies there over the years.The Morrocons,Algerians,Libyans and Tunisians were shown in Marseille which has been turned into a ghetto for these people.The government has done little for them over the years and job prospects appear to be zero.Ideal ground for terrorist recruitment.Hoping the problem will disappear seems to be the policy.The swing to the right in politics has been as a result of this crisis.However the crisis has been convenient for politicians on the right as every election time they can organise a few riots to focus voters on their re-election program.Hence corruption has flourished.That is the direction we are headed in our politics,as can also be seen in the US.The problem rather than being solved will be used to stay in power by the right wing groups.Corruption will go unnoticed in the confusion.France,so close to muslims and ourselves so close to Indonesia;worth a look to see where we will be down the track.Expect to see more Tampas' and Bali's especially at election time.To politicians from the right,these events are not necessarily seen as disasters.It is also worth noting that muslim countries have governments that are dictatorships of one form or another;royal families,military or civil,or a combination of them.There is good reason for this,control of the Islam religion which is unstable at best.So we can look forward to more right wing government,corruption and bogeys in the cupboard.
