Surely this is an issue where the Cth govt will have to intervene. Remember the NT is only a territory. The gas shortage problem is an issue of national significance. Much of the environmental issues are not relevant but most of NTs gas is not neat ag land or water tables. Add to that the enviro risks are low. The whole thing is based on a loud vocal minority's emotion and hysteria.
