Tasmania's forest industry wants Gunns to say if it has accepted the State Government offer to extinguish its native timber contracts.
The government made an offer to the company as part of the $276 million federally funded peace deal.
The Premier said that she had received no word from Gunns last Friday, when the company had hoped to make an announcement.
Terry Edwards from the Forest Industry Association of Tasmania says it is time an announcement was made.
"It's Gunns that has been urging the parties to get on and finalise the Intergovernmental Agreement implementation so they can get on with their pulp mill," he said.
"But ironically it's Gunns that are holding [up] the process.
"This is just having the impact of exacerbating the uncertainty that already is pervading within the industry because of the Statement of Principles process and the issues around the implementation of the Intergovernmental Agreement."
Gunns shares remain in an indefinite trading suspension, pending a resolution.
