We did pay 10 years in advance, but PPPL indicated that they didn't believe that these funds would actually be available (they couldn't comment on whether legal action could be taken with regards to this - not that it would do much good).
I don't know if PPPL are being truthful, but I also doubt whether those funds would have been held in trust (as they should have) and therefore doubt whether a new RE would get these funds. If this is the case, any potential new RE would take this fact into consideration when making growers an offer.
If we buy the lot ourselves, then we would probably not get these funds either. It still may be worthwhile to go down that direction, although IWC do not seem to be very active at present.
I'd LOVE to be proved wrong and to find out that these funds are actually in trust. Any more information on these funds?
