Looking good could be a great few months for COE.
INDONESIA: ENSCO International's inland barge ENSCO 1 is expected to drill one well in the Gurame field offshore Indonesia in the second half of February. The drilling unit will move on to the Gurame field located in the Seruway PSC after completing Salamander Energy's field delineation programme in the Bontang PSC.
The well will be drilled to about 9,600 feet (2,926 m) total depth to evaluate a number of zones that have tested gas in the previous five wells drilled in late 1960s to early 1970s. The joint venture will fulfill the work commitment for the Seruway PSC with the drilling of the exploration well. Transworld operates the Seruway PSC with a 55 per cent stake. GFI Oil and Gas holds 22.5 per cent, while Cooper Energy owns the other 22.5 per cent.
