    @Furpo2; when I ran Melbourne Marathons in the 1980s I used to catch the train from Flinders St to Frankston Station for the start of the race. For the record, my times were better than those for Tony Barber and Bob Ansett and a whole pile of AFL footballers.

    As for Abbott's time vs mine in the half-marathon Puffing Billy run from Belgrave to Emerald - what a fraud he was, finishing almost three minutes behind me [I was a very ordinary runner and almost a decade older than Hymn as well - OK, OK; I didn't have to wear red budgie smugglers].
