I suspect that Tullow have based their bid on what they know of Uganda, and has placed very conservative values on what they don't know - e.g. Ching.

Potter never says anything positive or upbeat now about the company he runs. For the last months, always gives the least optimistic view, never clarifies his terse statements, no open briefing for months, no announcement or even explanation about Guyanne.

Potter is a black hole of gloom and doom and Guyana and been sunk deep inside it. It would be nice to hear from him, but since he has a vested interest in the deal he has brought to us, I doubt if he can say anything positive about Hardman for fear of attracting other bidders.
