Hi folks,
Day 11, and all is not lost yet.
After reading thru all the "fors and againsts" on SP, I myself think that unless there are other bids, we are doomed to accept TLW's offer.
I also think that around two weeks is probably the time that things start to happen, like other bids coming in. We have already seen a couple of share holding declarations already!
For those who think SP sold out the high potential areas, then if you accept TLW shares, you are still "in" so to speak, admitedly not 100%. You have to give SP some credit for:
1. Raising the placement at 2.30+ without which we would be even deeper in the sh@^.
2. Being able to have some TLW shares which really gives the true believers in Uganda, Guyane etc still an "in".
As for me, my average is still just above the bid price, and I am hoping for another bid to get out.
unfortunately, there is always a lot of rot in companies that are this size. Glad that I don't have any AWB shares at the moment or MXG. I think they are all the same, it's a matter of degree.
Four things may change the whole situation with virtually NO further risk to HDR price:
1. Kingfisher should be known in 3 weeks time (hopefully they will not withold info till after meeting).
2. The current Well at Mauratania and we should know that in 2 weeks time.
3. Nziizi (if it is drlled in time), especially if Kingfisher comes in, will be a major influence.
4. The remedial well in the south that may be drilled 4th quarter.
And if another bid comes in then we are all in business. ALL IS NOT LOST yet!!
