back from suspension guys, sold half my holding at the open for 55.5c last week, just bought them back for 38c today. NICE!

yall should have listened to me instead of abusing me when i said she would finish in the red after the extension ann. read between the lines next time.

the law suit really throws a spanner in the works. cnp is going down despite their claims to 'vigorously defend' blah blah. it's not a matter of whether there will be damages, but how much. what they did was utterly reprehensible, lie about their short term debt, and think it wouldn't come back and bite them.

at its peak cnp had a market cap of about $8bn and that's down to about $300m now. the claim has increased materially from $100m

i'm estimating they'll settle for between $500 - $1000 million

which begs the question where will they get that kind of cash from. they have no spare cash, they can't even pay a piddly 1.75% margin without raising an extra $150m

they can't sell assets because the banks have a charge over all of them.

so where are they going to come up with $1 billion???

a big equity raising? not with a sp of 37c

they will have to defer dividends for at least 4 years imo
