Gonna sound like "I told you so", but that is not the intention of this post. Rather, the content of my post of 31/12/07 should be remembered when trying to outguess the market, particularly where debt is involved:
"The small punter, trying to "outguess" the market in CNP will be pitching themselves against the institutional type market player.
The latter are the very ones CNP will be looking to (in part) for future funding.
So I ask the question: Who is in a better place to know the current "feeling" towards CNP in the debt market? To be sure, the insto's have much greater access to market info and financial models than the mere street punter.
If the big end of town is selling, then it may be wise to stand back and ask yourself "why""
At the time CNP was trading at $1.01!
