1. There was PROOF Cuba had the missiles. True, there is no "smoking gun" but missiles pointing up in a launch position are fairly easy to spot in comparison to a bio-chem weapon that may be contained in a suitcase 2. Level heads prevailed during the Cuban crisis inspite of the desires of war mongers. Steady there, Eddie!! The only reason that peace prevailed is because Kruschev "blinked" and backed down 3. The US did not have an IDIOT for a leader at the time. True, Kennedy was a leader amongst leaders but I'll tell you now, Bush is no idiot!
