Here in NZ, where Ev uptake is stronger than Oz, a major Servo station chain - Z (the old Shell stations) is installing fast chargers asap. They say they want to be a "energy provider", not just for gas etc.
So, like the UK, that's great! and obviously makes sense to be near food stops & loos.
Big waiting lists for most new Ev's - esp. for new Hyundai Ionic (most in-demand) & high charge Kona, which has battery supply problems in Korea I believe.
Wherever I look, the Ev runway is a bumpy road heading inexorably upwards... Interesting times, GLTA.
