Its a very good analogy - in that case the destruction of the moon ie: loss of shareholder value is the fact - how it happened is merely a piece of history - I could surely not offer a meaningful answer as I have no idea whether or not you gave consideration to the possible occurrence of an asteroid strike before determining that the sun would melt it. What would not be in dispute though is that your opinion was that the moon would disappear and full credit to you - you were right. Arguing about how it disappeared will never bring it back!
