IMO, the double headed snake Instos have caused a lot of damage to current GXY SP.
- They rented out their shares to shorters (for a fees / profit)
- They profited further by acquiring more shares at discounted rate from Shorters' action
- They have no concern about the day to day depressed SP - no requirements to report their investment performance on day to day basis.
- But they will time (recalling of the shares) and pump the SP up near to year end financial close to show a healthy return.
I guessed, they can afford to do that and assure of result (little risk) with company like GXY - sound fundamental and hefty free cash flow in coming years from MC operation alone.

I had expected the institutions to have done this at the end of the last Financial Year. But they didn't.
