I think it's safe to assume the bottom of the cycle will be at the tipping point where it's simply uneconomical for producers to extract the resources. That's where the real floor in spodumene pricing occurs.
Yes, I'm well aware that posters have called the bottom of the cycle several times in many months, however this is the first time pricing has dropped to a level that producers are unwilling to operate under.
Are we at the absolute bottom? I don't know for sure. What I do know is if we aren't we are very close.
A large number of investors are quite happy to buy strongly within 20% of a cyclical bottom and sell the reverse. I believe we are deep within the 20% range.
The sky can only fall as low as the ground.
