People have asked moderators for an explanation.

When the Moderators give one they don't always expect further arguments by the other person concerned.

If that becomes a habit then you may find that the Moderator may ask you to discuss it with H/C. H/C will have the evidence.

That saves a lot of aggro and time. And a moderator has little time.

Explaining a deletion and then answering an arguments by one or more can be very time consuming.

The matter of consistency has been brought up
    a number of times.

First there are some 1400 or more posts a day. Allocate 2 minutes per post and that is 46 hours work by one moderator in a 24 hour day.

By that time he is ready to be carried away in a padded wagon.

The fact is that the Moderator doesn't see everything and sometimes relies on posters as well.

Once he gets tired, there could be the odd post which needs deletion but gets overlooked.

To challenge a Moderator on consistency is not very well received on chatsites. Try SS.

That some posters don't know the rules or don't want to know them is a problem. If they knew, the headlines and treatment of posters will be different.

Re those headlines, posters on this site have been warned before.

Be aware there could be professional stirrers or supporters on a Forum and sometimes a headline can be purposely written by them in a certain way.
